11月5日下午，金秋蒙城虽然有些凉意，但街头人潮涌动，显得格外忙碌。就在此时此刻，来自蒙村的四十多位华人IT专业人士齐聚在Concordia大学的EV大楼的一间大教室内，正在举办一场别开生面的”物联网”交流会。
本次活动由北美华人信息技术协会（CITANA）总会会长余磊博士主持。余会长首先欢迎辞并筒短介绍CITANA的历史及当前发展情况，他与大家一起分享了协会的”学习、交流、合作、共赢、成功”的理念，赢得了与会者们的一致共鸣与热烈响应。
接着，在热烈的掌声中，CITANA蒙特利尔分会顾问、Concordia大学计算机系的鄢宇鸿教授开始了她的专题报告。鄢教授首先从两周半前发生的物联网病毒Mirai袭击讲起，介绍了物联网的由来及发展趋势。
然后她从四个层次（Things、Infrastructure、App Enablement、Application）对物联网逐一展开阐述；她还重点介绍了物联网常用的开发工具、协议、及主要研究算法。
鄢教授的演讲由浅入深、通俗易懂，引起与会者们浓厚的兴趣，大家不断提出许多很有见地的问题，鄢教授也都分别予以答复或者给予明确的指导，让与会朋友受益非浅。
鄢教授及其团队还现场展示了他们正在研发的IoT数据收集及处理软件IoTOrchard.com。
为了表达对鄢教授的感谢，分会熊朝晖副会长代表分会向鄢教授赠送了纪念品。
接下来，交流会进入了互动阶段。余会长向大家一一介绍了与会的蒙特利尔分会团队成员，参加活动的朋友分别作了自我介绍，通过互相交流，大家有机会认识与结交了许多新朋友。
交流会气氛非常热烈、活跃、愉快、融洽，体现了CITANA特有的高质量交流活动魅力。
虽然一再延时，但是大家的兴致似乎没有任何减少，直到暮色降临时大家才依依不舍地离去，并一致地期待协会组织更多的这类活动。套用Roy Chen 先生的话就是”活动很棒！希望以后能多有机会参与，并愿意为组织出一份力。”
