2018年7月28日晚七点，蒙特利尔侨学界在华埠颐香居酒楼隆重集会，欢迎中国驻蒙特利尔总领事陈学明履新。出席晩会的侨胞近400人，包括45个侨团代表、加拿大皇家科学院院士、著名教授和文化艺术工作者。
由高科技专业人士组成的北美华人信息技术协会（CITANA)与兄弟社团一道，热烈欢迎陈总领事的到仼，余磊会长还担任晚会筹委会秘书长，参与了此次晚会的筹备与组织。
晚会上，陈总领事对侨胞们作了热情洋溢的讲话，陈总领事表示，”我会不断加深与大家的友谊，总领馆的大门永远敞开，欢迎大家常来做客！”
侨胞们表示要像以前一样加强与总领馆联系，加强与祖籍国交流与合作。
余磊会长代表CITANA向陈学明总领事到任表示热烈欢迎，并举杯祝贺陈总领事工作顺利、阖家安康！
然后，余会长把参加晚会的CITANA的伙伴们介绍给陈总领事。陈总领事听说北美华人信息技术协会拥有如此众多的北美高科技人才时精神为之一振，兴奋地与CITANA伙伴们干杯，并祝愿大家在各自领域取得更大成绩。
边志春副总领事、梁宵领事也与CITANA的伙伴们互相敬酒，互相认识，相谈甚欢。
隔壁席上，还有CITANA的两位美女秘书长：严跃晴秘书长、林梅副秘书长……
本地华人文艺团体还表演了精彩文艺节目……
临结束前，CITANA的伙伴们还与陈总领事、梁宵领事以及王云昊副领事分别合影留念。
九点三十分左右，宾主尽欢，蒙特利尔侨学商界欢迎陈学明总领事履新晚会圆满落幕。但CITANA的伙伴们依然有很多话题在继续交流，直到十点多，在酒店工作人员的提醒下，大家才依依不舍地道别离去……
